​A steady flow of saliva keeps the mouth moist, and the Salivary Conditioning Film (SCF)* that forms on the oral surface plays an important role in moisturizing the mouth.
Dry Mouth (Xerostomia) can occur when low salivation affects water retention in the Salivary Conditioning Film (SCF).
Even the Xerostomia is not a fatal symptom, it can chronically reduce the patient's quality of life significantly.

*The Salivary Conditioning Film (SCF) in the human oral cavity is one of the biofilms in the human oral cavity that can withstand contact pressure. It has strong water retention and contains mucin and protein to lubricate the mouth.
How Hi-Mupro Oral Moisturizing Gel Manages Dry Mouth
Most saliva substitutes do not attached to SCF and therefore do not enhance oral lubrication. According to the literature*, the saliva substitutes containing carbomer, carboxymethylcellulose, carrageenan, pig gastric mucin and xanthan gum have been shown to perform better in enhancing oral moisturizing.

Hi-Mupro Oral Moisturizing Gel uses unique polymer components carbomer and carboxymethylcellulose. Through cross-linking technology, it has high water content and can be attached on SCF for up to 4 hours for a long time to keep the mouth moist and reduce water evaporation.

Directions for Use

  • Use a cotton swab to take an appropriate amount of gel and cover it on the oral mucosa or dry cracked lips.
  • Use a cotton swab to spread evenly on the area to be used.
  • If necessary, this product can be used repeatedly on dry and chapped wounds to ensure the integrity of the protective film.
